It is time again for Tibetans around the world to celebrate their Losar; this time- the Year of the Earth Mouse 2135. Tibetans and a section of Buddhists around the world celebrate Losar on Thursday, February 7, 2008. The celebration normally lasts for three days, and it all means time for geetings, togetherness and abundant festivities, and time for prayers as well.The word Losar is a Tibetan word for New Year. LO means year and SAR means new.
During 2008 New year we did few ceremony by our NGARI KHANGTSEN monks so we would like to share you some photos so hope you all enjoy to visit it... All of our monks praying you for success any duties & good health forever. HEARTLY TASHI DELEK !!!

All our Khangtsen monks live in Thuling Monastery where they arranged us good accomodation and taking care.... We love to say that was wonderful arrange and we have very good chance to have teaching from His Holiness beside His holiness visited here in Thuling Monastery and we got so many blessing and communicated. We are so lucky for have such this chance again. Eventually on 17- Jan.-08 all of our travel back to SERA by a bus and spent around 10 hours on the way.... 2008, H.H.the Dalai Lama Teaching

WISHING A HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Teaching in Mundgod, Karnataka, India from January 3 to 14: His Holiness will give teachings on Jamphel Tsencho and Lhamo Jenang on January 3 to 5 at Drepung Lachi Monastery. On January 7 His Holiness will inaugurate the new Drepung Loesling Assembly Hall. From Janaury 8 to 13 His Holiness will give extensive teachings on Panchen Sonam Dakpa's Pharchin Chidon Yumdon Selwa Donmey, Jetsun Champa Gonpo's Ngontok Gyen & Lopon Senge Sangpo's Drelwa Donsel at Drepung Loseling Monastery. He will also confer the Dorjee Jigche Lha Chusoom Initiation. On the morning of January 14 His Holiness will confer a long life empowerment and a long life ceremony offering for His Holiness will be held.

Here are some picture of last evening that Ngari khangtsen monks leaving to Mundgod for Holiness teaching. So hope you would like to see how it would interesting to travel monks from Sera to Drepung and Ganden. They have to travel 9 hour by bus where his Holiness the Dalai Lama is teaching from 3 January 2008. So hope many dovetees will gather overthere from different parts.
