Monsoon delayed fencing & construction.














Dear Readers,

Sera Jey Ngari Khangtsen Hostel Construction has been began from last week but the starts of Monsoon rain fall delayed the stone fencing.

Today we almost finished stone fencing of 1450 rft (running feet) of construction site and will start the Hostel foundation (Earth works) from Monday.

Monks will join the construction job to shorten the expenses and majority is participating for daily Tara Puja for the successful completion of Hostel Construction.

Long pending project to take an early start this monsoon.




Dear all the Supporter and friends,

Sera Jey Ngari Khangtsen has to take step up the pending Housing Construction project in view of many new expected pupils from Ruthok Choeding Monastery - Ladakh and 12 more pupils from one of the smaller Monastery in South India, to study further on Buddha Dharma at Sera Jey Monastery.

First step of Housing Project starts with construction of 20 rooms and 12 bathroom/ toilet. The project will cost around 30,00,000.00 of Indian Rupees.

We are using all the capital funds of Ngari Khangtsen and contributions received from Donors for the construction, besides taking Housing Loan from Local Bank to complete the project successfully.

Himalayan Protester Ask Centre to Change Stand








On 19th march group of Himalayan Student from Sera Jey Ngari Khangtsen and Darti Khangtsen with the entire Himalayan student from Bylakuppe- South Karnataka, Drepung and Gaden Monastery from North Karnataka gather to hold a protest rally in the city of Bangalore.

More then 1000 had participated from Himalayan Buddhist Association and Himalayan Culture Association for Action on Tibet.

The rally origination from Majestic area culminated at MG road, in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue, and handed a memorandum to the Governor of Karnataka State to change the centre policy on Tibet issue.

Demands are:

1. China to immediately stop killing unarmed Tibetans in Tibet
2. Indian Government to pressurize Beijing to start dialogue with Tibetan Government of His Holiness the Dalai Lama on the issue of Tibet.
3. World leaders to boycott Beijing “Bloody Olympic” to protest China’s Genocide in Tibet and in Durfur

Visit of His Holiness Namkha Rinpoche







In March His Holiness Namkha Rinpoche, Spiritual Director of International Nyingmapa Rigdzin Community visited Sera for a week.

Rinpoche and group have strong wishes to support the Hostel & Prayer Hall Projects of Sera Jey Ngari Khangtsen, as He personally sees the difficulties of Ngari Students occupying 3 -4 monks in single room

Rinpoche has sponsored the purchashing site for the Hostel and Prayer Hall Construction measuring 170 X 510 fts, and promise to find support for the projects.

We wish Rinpoche, staffs and Students of Rigdzin Community every success in their Dharma mission and benefit all the sentient beings.

2008 New Year ceremony by Khangtsen monks.

Dear Dharma Brother and Sister

It is time again for Tibetans around the world to celebrate their Losar; this time- the Year of the Earth Mouse 2135. Tibetans and a section of Buddhists around the world celebrate Losar on Thursday, February 7, 2008. The celebration normally lasts for three days, and it all means time for geetings, togetherness and abundant festivities, and time for prayers as well.The word Losar is a Tibetan word for New Year. LO means year and SAR means new.
During 2008 New year we did few ceremony by our NGARI KHANGTSEN monks so we would like to share you some photos so hope you all enjoy to visit it... All of our monks praying you for success any duties & good health forever. HEARTLY TASHI DELEK !!!
